    Thank you one and All.

If you have seen any of my posts regarding the tank in the past then many of you have seen that i don't follow all the rules. Water changes are a must, and i do so by aging 50% of the water of the tank for a week in a simular sized tank in my basement. I do not fert though i have dabbled briefly here and there while some plants may demand ferts i usually just stay away from them. Over sized filter i use a ehiem canister 3 good for i think around 180 gallons and my tank is only 90. Don't over feed, if your going on vacation with the few exceptions of maybe discus and such don't buy weekend feeders the fish will be fine there's no dinner bells for wild animals they offen have to go days weeks without food. Co2 is a huge advantage to a planted tank regardless of what plants you have and of course lighting. I have used Metal halides 150 watt desk lamps that worked just fine for $40 dollars each in the past. floresants were never for me having an open tank. Which i now have birds, finches to be more exact above the tank. I placed a post some time back titled planted tank thats possibly an industry first. don't knw if it's still around or not but the tank is still up and running and i'll do an update in the near future if anyone's instrested.
Thanks to all who voted for my set up. More to come.
