hey all!....Im wanting to have a clean sump and I would like to make my fuge out of a 10gal separate from sump.Are theyre any advantages to this?

I'm thinking that one advantage would be being able to add a filter sock in the sump, before getting to the fuge, which will keep your fuge clean...
