as you may all know i use to have a 60 gallon hexagon tank but i did not like the fact that the tank resticted me to not having all the fish's i wanted to get do to the fact the tank was a hexagon. so now i am looking to get a 55 gallon long tank. so far here are my plans for this tank as far as aquipment goes

lighting nova extreme t5's 8 54 watt bulbs 432 watts. would this lighting me enough to have a mix reef tank? sps will be as high as possible in the tank

i want to eliminate having a lot of power heads in the tank so i was thinking of getting a mp20 vortech. do you think this will be enough for the tank by itself?

i would recommend going with a 75g because it will be ALOT easier to scape since its 6in wider than a 55g. the 12in width of a 55g will make it really hard to build nice rockwork with lots of caves
