what is compatible with a 1.5" jack dempsey cichlid in my 85 gallon fresh water aquarium will a jack dempsey or an oscar work right now i have one jack dempsey one pleco and one pictus catfish :dance2:

I can't help but give my two cents! I have a 54 gallon corner tank and I bought a Jack and an albino Oscar around the same time and they lived more than eight years together. I also had a Pleco who was at least 6" if not bigger and he was beat to death!!! These were the only two fish I could keep in the tank.
^ Dont follow that example though, as he was OS and only had room for the JD or the oscar in his tank. Thats probably why they beat the pleco to death.
IMO, you don't have room for anything else in there as the Pleco will get quite large. If you wanted an oscar, you could only do the Oscar with the JD and nothing else, as the JD will approach a foot.
