Anyone know how to make medicated flake food? Please help. I used "Tetra Medica Medicated Flake Food" for many years and recently learned that Tetra don't make it anymore. It works really well but Im out of it.
I read that some people make their own version with mardel tetracycline pills, which is good for bacteria/fungal related disease. I would like to make 2 versions, one for bacterial and one for parasites.
Im thinking about grinding mardel tetracycline pills wich reacts to gram negative stuff, no sure what that is. Then mash and mix it up with regular flake food and add a teaspoon of water to make them gel up then air dry. Not sure if I should boil the tetracycline powder or if is even safe for fishes to eat such "food".... other version marcyn II would be used for parasitic version or gram-positive stuff.
