i had my 55gallon with 4 newbie orandas in a a salt treatment for 18 days,. and just finally did the water change with fresh and 3 days later it looks like their back,..

i had the treatment percentage of salt at 1.005
and the temps at 79 by tape thermometer and 78-79 by floating thermometer,..

do i retreat with salt again?

use more salt?

use chemical? IE: quick cure or another,.. keeping in mind its a 55gal,.

only thing in there is the orandas

here's the pics,..

when i treated it it was just in fins like the pics but see 1 on the wen of one oranda and wanted to treat asap before it got out of hand,.. please quick responses please as i would like to restart treatment today or asap,.. before they get a good hold,..

it does look like ich!!!
also if you can see those there`s moor that you cannot.

i find that aquari-sol works well on ich so if you can get it use that.

i usually doubly it with 4 teaspoon of salt and increas the oxygen content by adding an airstone or two.
and yes i have a 55g tank.

BioHazard suggest QuIck Cure its good to but just a preference thing with the aquari-sol it does not turn the water blue even though it disappears after a couple of days.

ok that should be good i use morton .

heres what i do!

i increase the temperature of the water to about 72 - 78 degrees.
put in added air stones.
and use 4 teaspoon of salt twice daily.
once in the morning and then in the evening and then do a partial of about 20% from the bottom every two days. for like 12- 15 days. a bit teadeous.
but you have the aquari-sol concern. which i use coupled with the salt.

oh you wont get rid of it in 24 hours but i suppose you know that already.

sorry for this being so winded.
