One of my fish looks like he was dusted with powdered sugar.....
there are little white spots all over him, and a few on the others.
They are still eating and swimming normally.
From what I've read the best treatment seems to be upping the temperature and adding salt. Aquarium salt or table salt? 2 teaspoons per gallon correct?

6. Were the fish placed under quarantine period (minus the first batch from the point wherein the tank is ready to accommodate the inhabitants)?
the spots are on the SD they had been in their own tank for about a month or so
7. What temperature is the tank water currently?

8. Are there live plants in the aquarium?
small java fern a bit of java moss
9. What filter are you using? State brand, maintenance routine and power capacity.

11. Does your aquarium receive natural sunlight at any given part of the day? What is your lighting schedule (assuming you do not rely on sunlight for our viewing pleasure)?
poor lighting, being fixed today. 7Am to 9Pm on a timer
12. When did you perform your last water change and how much water was changed? How often do you change your water? Do you vacuum the substrate?
Substrate was vacuumed 2 days ago, 50% water change about to be done
13. What foods do you provide your fish? What is the feeding schedule?
Cichlid pellets every other day, frozen shrimp cubes 3X a week
14. What unusual signs have you observed in your fish?
