Hello,

I have a caterpillar infestation in my garden and I was thinking the 'skippers might enjoy them as a tasty snack. Is there any reason why I shouldnt give it a go? The caterpillars aren't poisonous I'm sure...
Would they (and the archers) enjoy butterflies too?

The 'skippers have done a great job of cleaning out my small spiders in the house :)

Many catipillars are toxic to animals. That is why they are fuzzy and/or brightly colored. This is also true for butterflies. I am sure there are some that could be eaten but I don't know the difference so I would risk it.

Good point well made, and also was the reason I asked. I'll avoid.
