I have an empty 28G bowfront tank. I'm looking for a neat stocking idea. One thought was an invert tank, but I'll consider anything interesting.

I have four other tanks with South American communities- cichlids and compatibles. I also have a 10G tank with a betta in my office. I'm looking for something a little different and eye catching as it is placed in a prominent spot in my living room.

Thanks!

Since you already have other South American tanks, how about an Asian species tank? In a 28 bow you could have a couple Honey or Dwarf Gouramis, some rasboras or small barbs of your choice and maybe some small loaches for the bottom. Kuhlis are awfully cute.

For this size tank, I think small fish would be best. What about celestial pearl danios, or an all male guppy or Endler tank? You could also try making a "shellies" tank - here's an example:

The empty shells look very eye catching, and adding plants is optional. It's a great tank if you don't have a green thumb, because the best plants for these tanks are Java fern, Anubias and such which are hard to kill!
