my guppy gave birth to 15 fry today, but she still looks pregnant.
is it possible she will hold onto some fry for a little while longer before dropping them?

Well since that wasn't very many fry then she will probably have more. I have a molly that was huge, one of my best producers at 50+ fry, after she gives birth she is still huge and prego looking. I guess it depends on the age of the fish or something.

She is fed twice a day, they get plenty of food but none of the others are that big. She's one of my biggest mollies, length wise and girth haha. I raised her up from a tiny fry and she's a mutt so maybe part of it is genetics

A single breeding is all it takes for a female to drop 4, 5 or even more broods of young. Expect them about every month or so depending on temp.
