What is the best way to separate larger from smaller BN pleco fry? I know about using a soda bottle to catch them, but how can I sort out the larger fry from the smaller ones without harming the fish?
There are 2 batches, the first batch has fish in there that are around 1 inch in size, but the problem is I know that I will get a bunch from the second batch mixed in with them that are much smaller.
I'm not sure why you need to seperate them? Are you concerned about feeding them? I believe I'd leave them right now and just put in appropriate food for both.
(I've used the soda bottle trick for shrimp but not for plecos.)
You could use rectagular container. lay against one corner and herd/chase the babies into container. Once inside the container, gently pour each into appropriate containerS.
