So, since everyone else on this website has a journal on their tanks, I thought I'd have one too.

The 36 gallon bowfront is going to be Amazon-themed with 1 Angelfish, 10 Rummynose Tetras, and 6 Sterbai Cory Cats. It already has tan sand and artificial plants in it. The equipment involved is 2 Hydro Lustar III Sponge Filters, one to aerate the tank with a Tetra Whisper Aerator 40, and the other to serve as a prefilter for my Aqueon 30 External Power Filter. I also have a Eheim 2213 Canister Filter with an Eheim prefilter. I have a 200 watt All-Glass Aquarium (Seriously, that is the companies name, lol!) heater, and a 20 watt All-Glass Aquarium flourescent light. The water will be soft with a pH of 6.5. The only thing not in it is the driftwood (still have to boil it), the fish, and the water.

I haven't taken any pics yet, but I will post them as soon as I take them!

Sounds like a fun tank, but I would leave the angelfish out and consider another shoal of tetra or rasbora. Angels are shoaling fish in nature (prefer to be in groups), and when not kept in groups can become aggressive towards other fish. In my opinion they should be kept in groups of 5 or more in at least a 55 gallon tank.

Here's pics of the tank. It's fully setup, but it's not running and only has some peat soaked water at the bottom. Also the two green Eheim tubes perpendicular to each other are actually in the tank. The two twisting green tubes are behind the tank. I don't have the background yet so hopefully this will clear up some confusion.

Needs a background for sure! But it should look great once you have it set up :) That tank is going to be well filtered to say the least I think lol

Are you going to be using live plants at all?

very nice, looks like it will become an awesome tank when set up! Now all we need is to see the final tank pics :)

Thanks for all the compliments!

It definitely will have a background, which will be black when I get it. I wanted a lot of filtration so that I can have minimal water changes (sure will be nice). Also, no I will not be using live plants. I wanted to, but my dad is supervising this operation and said no (darn).

The final pics will be posted sometime in January because the amount of peat soaked water that goes in at a time amounts to about 7 gallons a week, so it will take a little bit. I'm very excited though!
