another lighting question

I'm going to be setting up either a fg8 specific 10 gallon or a an invert tetra tank10 gallon. I will have java moss and another plant I can't remember the name of from my lfs. I think its red vermorlia or something like that. I either want the coralife t5 ho hood or the marineland led. I was wondering which set up would be best? And will I need co2? Thanks any help as I'm a newbee to the plant world

I have a hood on it now but I'm going rimless so I need something to sit on the edges and both of the lights I listed do this I'm running cfl on my 75

Idk if it will be enough lighting though for the plants
