can i get bulbs like these?

and put them along the hood instead of a long bulb

or can someone find me a cheap i mean properly cheap 48inch bulb with alright wattage

A higher watt bulb wont work unless the ballast allows it. Usually there is a max wattage written somewhere on the fixture.
