IMO .... C. Parva and DHG will be your best options without CO2. They won't take off and overrun your tank, but will hold their own if everything else (lighting and ferts) meets their needs.

Neither again are "real" carpeting, Dwarf hair grass 3cm-10cm (unless we are talking about SHAG Carpeting) lol

Riccia Fluitans is a low light plant and if you ancor it to something (mess mat) you might get the effect you're looking for.

you can do a decent java moss carpet, but its going to need lots of trimming. Weave the java moss into some kind of craft grid, and it should fill in and make a carpet. Good luck!

Im with Coach on this one. Marsilea Minuta is really easy, just give it some time to settle in.

Another option would be Lilaeopsis(sp?)
