low light

i have a 30w bulb on a 72gal substrate will be sand will crypts be ok and java fern and vals ? any other low light?

What type of bulb? Also, which style of tank? If memory serves me well, I believe the 72's I've seen are bowfront or corner tanks? How tall is the tank? Seems a little low, but might be able to get away with it if you position the lights and plants well.

thats pushing it. Anubias tend to be more light resistant than crypts. how long is the tank? i would recommend you get a 2-bulb t5NO fixture. i have one and its great!

cant get new lights but its 36'' long 24'' tall 18 '' wide

If the plants are positioned directly under the bulb, you may be able to keep them alive...for a while. I doubt they will grow much but who knows.

come to think of it, a 2-bulbe T5NO fixture would only give you 42w :\

I think a 36" 2-bulb T5HO is right up your alley. although you say you cant buy another one, you should try and save up for one if possible ;)
