Hello. I’d like for us to discuss one idea related to water change. I have a high light high tech planted tank running on an EI ferts scheduling, which calls for a water change every week. I also have CRS tanks on weekly RO/DI water changes. The water parameters of those are PH-6.4, GH-5, KH-1, NO3-0, NO2-0, PO4-0, Ammonia-0 and Iron-0. My idea is to use water from the CRS tanks to replace 50% the water of the planted tank. I’ll add some KH buster and Equilibrium too. All comments and opinions will be appreciated.

well many shrimp tanks people only do 10% maybe 20%. i do 50% but its not needed. there are many minerals in the water plants use and i personally would just use the tap. though you could use the older tank water.
