Dark water properties are soft/acid, the exact opposite of BW.
Both are nice-looking tanks though.

generally true but many brackish habitats are dark water do to tannin release from mangrove forest( the salinity and ocean water influx still keep these areas relatively basic in water). And more commonly from silt accumulation as the rivers pick up on their way to the ocean. I still can't decide what I like more.

Yes, but can you imagine the large WC necessary to copy a natural system that adds enough SW to it to keep the pH/hardness up?

Why? Have you checked the pH after doing that? Most fish won't appreciate this, just like most fish won't appreciate a "little salt" in their water, either.
