Aquaripure Nitrate Filter

Salt water folks have more issues with Nitrate than freshwater folks.
A regular water change schedule will remove Nitrates and not cost much.

no sense spending money on a product when a good ol' fashioned water change will do the same thing, and working on your tank is great stress relief too

I am weary whenever I read that something reduces the need for water changes. I also believe that a well established tank properly maintained will do it own check and balance.

The other point is that we measure contaminants like ammonia, nitrite and nitrate. We focus our water changes to control these since they are typically the first toxins that affect the water quality. However, other toxins may be present in small quantities. As tank water evaporates, these toxins will concentrate. Our focus is on 'the big three', but regular water changes also relieves our fish's environment of other bad things. It is a shame someone can't give people better air to breath by doing regular environment changes.
