Dungenus Crab
Hello all,
First time posting in the fishing forum. I am in Calif, kind of near San Francisco. I only sport fish, we been crabbing now for several months now and we have had a very good few months, probably pulled 100 limits so far. 10 crabs per person per day. Here is a pic of one of the first few days of the opening of the season

I'm in ca as well, my buddy and I go crabbin too. We use offshore poles and snares tho. It's fun going out to half-moon or bodega bay. Just cast off the jetties and pull em in. Crazy there were any males this year so far huh? Last year was all females!

The first 6 weeks of the season generally is all males. Now its about 50-50 male female. Sport guys could keep them but most of us put them back. They are berried in many cases. Yep great fun and good table far. Half Moon Bay is the place for sure, short boat rides.
