I recently added a second flurescent tube to my 3ft tank as I have always had problems growing anything for any length of time but no luck. My water quality is good and ph is always around neutral as is the other nitrates etc and I use a good fertiliser with regular water changes. What am I doing wrong? any suggestions as to low light plants etc would be most welcome.

What type of fixture, (T8 or T5?), and what temp of bulb, how many hours a day etc.

What are your nitrates reading? What ferts are you dosing and how much? what size tank and how often do you do water changes?

Don't be shy, write us a book about your tank and your maintenance practices. More info always helps.

Light, ferts, CO2 (or Excel). If you can figure out those three you got it licked!
