I recently added a second flurescent tube to my 3ft tank as I have always had problems growing anything for any length of time but no luck. My water quality is good and ph is always around neutral as is the other nitrates etc and I use a good fertiliser with regular water changes. What am I doing wrong? any suggestions as to low light plants etc would be most welcome.

What type of fixture, (T8 or T5?), and what temp of bulb, how many hours a day etc.
What are your nitrates reading? What ferts are you dosing and how much? what size tank and how often do you do water changes?

i am only going to guess but i would probably stick to anubias java ferns and moss in that type of set up. with out knowing more info its hard to tell like the others have said.

I grow crypts & rotala rotundifolia in addition to what mgamer suggested, swords might be ok too.
