Hello Everyone

Hello everyone. I've enjoyed reading this website for several weeks and have learned so much already. There are many beautiful aquariums and lots of great information. My kids and I have started a 29 gallon freshwater aquarium that (we hope) is in the last stages of cycling, now going on 8 weeks.

So far we have still have the original 6 zerbra danios, and 3 cory catfish hanging in there. No more ammonia, nitrites still high but starting to fall, but still no nitrates detectable yet.

We've enjoyed getting this aquarium going and are still learning alot so far. The real trouble is the empty 125 gallon aquarium sitting in my basement! More on that to come...

Thanks everyone, I've enjoyed lurking for the past 1-2 months and its nice to finally start posting. This site has been a great resource so far, tons of people with loads of experience in all kinds of areas. While my kids aquarium continues status quo during cycling, I'm beginning work on a 125 gallon. Its a long story, but I'm posting some initial images in the photo gallery section. I'd love to hear the input - both good and bad.
