I started my 40g breeder aquarium in April 2010. There is no sump.

Equipment

  • 2 x AC70 --> Each one houses a heater and filter floss. One has a bag of carbon, the other has a bag of Purigen.
  • AquaC Remora HOB protein skimmer with surface overflow
  • Koralia Nano and Koralia 2 for added water flow
  • MaxiJet for even more water flow
  • Current Outer Orbit 36" light fixture [1 x 150w Phoenix 14k MH; 2 x 96w Dual Actinic PC lamps
  • JBJ Automatic Top-off (in-tank sensor has been covered in window screening to prevent another snail from getting stuck on the sensor and draining my water reservoir onto the floor)
Fishes

  • Ocellaris Clown (Norton)
  • Royal Gramma (Maude)
  • Longnose Hawkfish (Clancy)
  • Coral Beauty (currently nameless and residing in my QT tank)
I've re-aquascaped this tank at least five times since its inception. The most recent alteration occurred on 06 March 2011.

Sweet tank. Love the coral/nem selection. That splash painted frogspawn is particularly sick!

5th time was definitely a charm for the scape. Nice job!
