Finally, after all my posts on this forum with questions on my 72G, I have started everything up.
This tank is going to be a (hopefully) heavily planted high light tank. I will post pics later tonight.
Specs:
Tank: All Glass Aquarium 72G bow front with center brace
Lighting: Black Solar T5 HO 4X54 watt CATALINA light fixture
Filtration(1): Eheim 2075 Ultra G 158G Pro III Canister Filter
Filtration(2): Marineland Bio-Wheel 350 Power Filter
Substrate: ~140lbs Black Eco-Complete, and ~10lbs of smooth river gravel
Decor: Driftwood and Rocks
Co2: Yes, but will buy soon(4-6 months). Don't worry, I'll run only 2 or 3 bulbs on the light fixture so the tank isn't a algae farm
Stocking: The Xs are the fish I already have bought/own.
X (2) pairs angelfish(black veil tail, platinum, golden koi, and koi)
X (1) bristlenose pleco
(1) clown or zebra pleco
X (2) siamese algae eater
X (4) long fin albino corys(i still need to buy 2 more)
X (1) emerald cory(will add more)
X (1) pair german blue rams
X (1) pair gold rams
(14-16) cardinal tetras
(10) dwarf neon rainbowfish
X (10) amano shrimp
BEFORE you get concerned about the angelfish and go OH NO!, READ this!!!
I know that angelfish/all cichlids get aggresive when breeding, but when the angels/rams start breeding, I'll put them into OTHER tanks, as I have 2-3 tanks ready for them. They are still babies except for 1 which is a mid-adult. Also, if there is a problem, I'll sell them and get some gouramis, and another top-dwelling tetra, etc.
I'll post pics probably later tonight.
