Fish don't have a preference, unless they can't see. Plants, however, do have a preference :p

If it helps, Angels shouldn't be kept in the size tanks that most off the shelf incandescent lights are built for.
For your wallet, and cooling costs since summer is coming, flourescent will cost less and heat less.

the fish prob don't care.. but you can convert incandescent to fluorescent using compact fluorescent bulbs(aka spiral bulbs)

in general the fluorescent is considered more efficient..cheaper in the long run.
if you have planted tanks then fluorescent tubes are preferred.. t-8, t-5 etc with good reflectors
