I had a 55g that my fish were outgrowing, and I had marginal luck growing plants. I found this 125g on Craigslist for $300 and decided to try a dirt tank with it.

Here is the 55g and 125g side by side.




First thing I did was add a little trim and a background to pretty it up a bit.



After about 5 water changes and a 2 weeks of letting the tank cycle this is where I am..



here are some close ups...









I am pretty stoked with it, and would like to hear what you think. The driftwood is still leaking some tannis, and the water is still a bit cloudy, but I think it is getting there.

Dang thats huge! I love the stump. Thats the advantage of a large tank - more eye popping additions.
