Friday night I took my granddaughter and my buddy's son catfishing on a local private lake. It was the first time either of them caught a big fish and we had a blast. We caught fish for three hours but only kept the ones that were 18" or bigger. Here's a pic of the channel cats we kept:

AMAZING, 18 inches, or so...I would so love to catch something that size, lol Are they good eating, when they're that big? Who gets to clean them? I've been eating catfish since I was a kid but never caught one. I bet the kids were having a blast, hauling in those monsters! :)

That would be a blast to catch those babies (or should I say, MONSTERS)!

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

Btw, I sent over that recipe to you yesterday!

I am jealous!
Thanks Rach! I'll definitely give it a try. We're gonna go again this coming friday night and try for another good catch so we have enough for a Memorial Day fish fry at my house.

Nice mess of channel cats, but I'd hate to have to skin and clean them all...
I didn't skin them. I cut the fillets off of the side and then ran the knife down between the meat and skin to come away with clean fillets. I should video it for y'all. It's much, much easier than skinning with pliers.
