I have two pair that have proven successful in the past now the eggs are turning white with a white algae like substance on almost all the eggs. Any ideas what could be the problem and what can be done to help the eggs along. All the para's are fine change the water one to two times if needed. Thanks.:help:

try some ick stuff, meth blue, any anti fungul stuff. i did a drop a gallon and have had really good results. BUT make sure you water is soft enough and flow is low or off when the spawning is happening. hows the diet on your fish? this should be an issue too.

Could be several things, Male might be shooting blanks, or water is too hard are the first suspects. What is the TDS level of your water? have you tried meth blue?
