    Two tanks
I was surprised as I was out for 12 days ..with a planned vacation.. my oldest gran daughter fed the fish and did a water change for me.. she limited food to 2 X daily small amounts.. when I came home the Altums had grown.. and were healthy.

I do have treatments planned for them but have since held off .. pH is steady at just below 6.4 thanks to the drift wood and Catappa leaves.
UV is still running 24/7 and I will continue.. the only planned treatments are for internal parasites using metro/prazi and I do have furan2 ready in the event I need it. I still use RO pretreated with driftwood and Catappa leaves ..

keeping a low / acidic pH seems to be one of the critical issues as Bacteria has trouble at acidic pH.. luckily all my tanks run a bit on the acidic side with regular pH at 6.8...
I am hearing that there is a beneficial bacteria that can survive at low pH (the ones we rely on in nitrogen cycle...) but the regular bacteria most have will not survive the low pH..
note: I am not certain of the pH since the test kits only go down to 6...mine is yellow with a very faint tint of light green..so I am esitmating it to be between 6 and 6.4.. tho I would prefer lowest I can get it too.

    thanks all

    handsome lil devils aren't they

funny how they act.. when I first come into the room, they come to the front of the tank..then scurry away when the flake drop in...
but they are aggressive feeders and when they notice food they rush to the top.
