Ive never been much into catfish but Ive obtained a couple to breed recently
I was surprised to see my Scleromystax barbatus spawning a couple of weeks ago being only 2 inches or so
They are by themselves (7 fish)in a standard 4 ft tank with a large canister filter and spray bar.Temp 19 (they like it cool)pH 7.4 low to moderate tds
I was surprised to find that unlike the few corys Ive spawned the female laid them(about 40) in a plaque on a leaf just under the spray bar:in high current,high O2 area.Not scattered all over he place
