1/3 sand (could I replicate a mud-type sand?), 2/3 water

1 mudskipper (what kind would be best/coolest?)

1 red claw crab

2 nerites

Thoughts? Concerns?

I have no experience with mudskippers, useful links would be awesome.

Oh, also, what filtration would be best and quietest?

what kind of mudskipper? depending on species of mudskipper it might eat your snails or get to big for your tank.

I'd say teh mudskipper might eat the crab too, the crab would eat the snails
For mud, carribsea does make a mud though I'd think miracle mud would be better as it is mostly benthic mud.
Maybe a Fluval U series would be good since it's in tank and waterlevels are likely to fluctuate
