Just did a "fall season" clean-up of my tanks, which included a major trimming of plants in the discus tank, to give my "hogs" a little more swimming space !
Details:
Tank: Osaka 260
Lighting: 2 x 39w T5HO - 8 hrs/daily
Filtration: 2 x AC 110's (using Purigen & filter floss for polishing/clarity)
Substrate: white silica PFS (hardscape: 2 x DW)
Plantings: Swords, Hygros, Ludwigia, Anubias, Red & Tiger Lotus, Crypt
Ferts: Root tabs -3x/year ; weekly dosings of Excel, Flourish C.S., Trace, Tailored Aquatics, NPK
Maintenance: 2 x weekly -70% wcs -
Filter media cleansing/rinsing/replacements - weekly
Stock: 10 juvie & sub-adult discus - 4 each of RedSnakeSkins & Flamingos, 2 Eruption Leopards - along with a few dithers: Rasboras, Cardinals & Cories.
