Hi guys,

SO, just comparing my ABN pair, and noticed my male is super super bright gold, i actually never compared them together before, even though i have had the male for over 2 years and the female 4 months........... So, the male is a bright shiny gold color while the female is albino. I have pics from 10 min ago........... Some are mixed in from the tank itself, sorry. But most are of plecos...... Really cool though, i love the color, they seem to have already paired up after 4 months.....lol.
ALL comments/answers appreciated greatly!:)

Nope. I've seen that goldish color on albino male bristlenoses before. Babies turned out all albinos too.

I think it is still an albino at least as defined by the eyes. And he has the typical albino pale spots all over. I'm not that familiar with the exact shades the albinos can be, most for sure are pale like your female. There's always a possibility it was crossed with an L144 bristlenose, the L144's are very very deep yellow, and he picked up the body coloration of the L144 from one parent and the albino eyes from the other parent.

Looks like a normal albino to me, maybe a bit brighter yellow. IME the females always looked a bit more washed out and the males a little brighter.

Normal ABN as others have said. Not all albinos are pink. In the BN world they are usually more of a pale yellow with a pink spot or two.

yeah, i think u guys r using the pics, but if u look in person, u can see it is gold, the color of this smiley face, except more shiny:)

i think that regular make most sense, but so does the L144 cross kind of thing, well whatever, it still looks really cool, and btw, most albinos i have seen range from bright white/pearl to faded gold, this is the first bright gold yellow one i have seen, I need to find a yellow fish, get it, and compare pics so u guys can see the extent of yellow it has.............
