removing top middle brace on 65g tank yes or no?

Ok, i have a 65g tall tank that looks like this...

Now I just got my lights and I have quad t-5 lights and 3 LED moon lights, but the middle moon light is right in the middle of that brace.

is this brace really necessary or I can dremel it out of there?

You will need to replace it with Plexiglas.

You cannot remove that brace completely, unless you are going for one of those OG "wet rugs"

So I can dremel it out, and epoxy a plexiglass strip?

Or I can dremel it out, and relocate it an inch?

Maybe relocating my LED an inch might be easier I think....

So this brace is crucial for the tank...ok thanks

Yes, its what keeps the tank together while full of water.

The LED replacement may be a bit easier.

that brace is not there for looks, it is a structural part of your tank.
I would not suggest removing, or modifying it.

i would try anything before removing that brace, how about wraping the brace in something shiny like mylar or tin foil to reflect or you could drill a hole right at the point where the led is

Unless you KNOW what you are doing... don't remove support braces. lol

Honestly though, replacing it with Plexiglas would be my route, though I work in the rigid/flexible plastic tank fabrication line of work. lol
