I'm embarrassed to say that I am not sure... I got what the fish store told me I "could" get. The big one "Jack Dempsey" is a rescue from a friend's tank. He was tiny, being attacked in a tiny tank. Everyone seems to get along, no aggression at all, so far.

Just FYI, "Jack Dempsey" is a Texas cichlid, not a JD. Nice looking fish.

i couldnt agree more for sure a texas cichlid and im not sure if id keep it with african cichlids as it comes from completely different waters(jmo)

Yea i agree, you should look into another tank for the texas. Great looking tank btw.
