I have a 20g. high. 9 neons, 5 rummynose, and 4 peppered corys. Medium planted, with a Whisper 30. Could I be okay getting about 4-5 flame tetras?

that is really really hard to say, Its certainly borderline with that filter, you could possibly try adding another 30 to the tank, that would help you be able to overstock a little. but its really hard to say, if the tank is all old and mature with lots of nice healthy plants and such i'd say it would be a possibility but would certainly take work. If the tank is fresh or lightly cycled in any way i'd say absolutely not. It'll also be an easier consideration if you were working with a 20L instead of high...those highs are finicky.

I think you'd be fine with added filtration.

The Fluval C2-C4 would be a GREAT addition for filtration!

I have a C3 and a QuiteFlow 30 on my 40 gallon, and its WAY over filtered.

I have a 20H with a Whisper EX30 and stocked with:

1 Bolivian Ram
1 female Betta
8 Black Phantom Tetras
5 Black Skirt Tetras
4 Black Neons (2 died from unknown causes - maybe bad stock or my water is too hard for them)

Anyway, the filter seems adequate for this arguably overstocked tank as long as I keep up the weekly water changes.

I thought about a Fluval C4, and debated long and hard before going with the Aquaclear AC 70. They're both Hagen products, and the price difference was negligible, but I felt the AC 70 offers more room for customization.
