In a well cycled 55 gal, currently stocked with 14. Four known young males, ten females. While maintaining a species specific tank, how many and which should leave? They're hard to find locally, and I recieved more than expected via Aqua Bid order. Local ph range 8.2 - 8.4, Eco Complete Cichlid Mix substrate, 81 degrees constant, Emperor 400 filtration.

I would keep them all as a kenyi only colony. Give them plenty of rockwork. If you notice anyone being singled out and beaten up I'd remove them at that time. I bet that is a nice looking tank. The sex ratio is pretty good as well. I would add a second filter.
