My only surviving fish that will go back to this tank are 2 angels, a geo balzani and a baby blood parrot. I'm not in a hurry to restock the tank, I'm still very sad about losing most of my fish. I think I will wait til the fish auction in March, that way I will have plenty of room in case I have to buy in bulk. I'm wondering how much bacteria died off, I will probably have to cycle all over again :/

That sucks Angel... it's always sad to lose fish. At least you have survivors, it could have been worse.

Thankfully you still have those fish left. Now you can just spend some time thinking how you want to restock, maybe you'll want to do something different.

So I can't stand looking at an empty tank so I'm driving 2 hours on Sunday to new jersey to go to the cichlid auction. Any suggestions on what to look for? I'm lost.

6 day power outage...lost 80% of them. And I wish I didn't have to get new ones, I had that tank almost to where I wanted it after months of deciding :( poor fishies RIP
