They're beautiful, but I'm wondering what the longterm effects would be, if any. . .

I've only seen them at LFS as frag tanks.

Seems to work nicely at stopping people from leaning over the tank. :rofl:


Evaporation seems to be one of the more common problems.
That and keeping up the suicide watch for snails, fish...just about everything that can move.

There were several of these at MACNA. Spoke to one of the vendors and evaporation was the biggest issue he had with them. Not a in a "salt creep maker" way though, just straight evaporation. An ATO would be a must from what I gathered.
