Hi Everyone,
I recently spotted some Hydra on the plants in my aquarium. I just want to know if it can harm any of my fish. My Discus are not adults yet, but they are around the 4" mark and growing fast. Tankmates include 3 corys, 1 chinese algae eater (who refuses to be caught and removed) and a large amano shrimp.
I don't intend to breed the fish, and most of what I read indicates that Hydra are mostly fatal to fry. I hate adding unnecessary chemicals to my tank. IME it always results in an unforseen disaster... mostly to plants. If they are harmless I intend to simply wash my plants off and continue scrubbing my tank walls as per usual.
Any advice??
