Najas, I have similar thick growths of it in my BN breeding/growout tanks too. Very helpful for maintaining water quality.

I have a 40Breeder next to it with ~40 older ones from last summer too.

Yes, it's Najas Grass...with a few bits of clumpy algae of some type. the fish dont seem to mind.
