I'll try to get them to be still and try to get some pics
Just wanted to update..
I still have the 6 Altums.. they are very eager eaters..and now approaching 6 mo in my tank. I am still looking for a large tank..and am currently looking at a 150..with luck by the end of the month.

the Altums are still in a very strict environment.. I decided I didn't want to risk any harm so they are still in low pH (below6) with daily water changes.

I did add a bunch of structure to the growout with driftwood and anubias..they do love structure..a
they are very quick for short burst.. the largest is now past fifty cent sized..

I am still amazed at how much more social they are when compared to Scalare...they stay in fairly tight schools when they feel threatened..and will still remain loosely schooled when they are comfortable..

there is a definite hierarchy with the largest as the dominant..the others seemed to have picked thier place on the ladder.

again.. I will try and get pics up soon.. since I just got a new laptop to mess with..my pc crashed

They are completely gorgeous. Congrats on the new tank. I tried to find Altums years ago with no luck. I'm green with envy.

OT- The kitty in your avatar is so beautiful. He/She looks like a ragdoll I had for nearly 16 years. Every time I see it, it makes me smile.
