Hi y'all new here. Had a few qusestions hope fully some of you can help with new perspective. I have a fluvial 204 external filter, and a 30gal aquarium.it will eventually have dart frogs bug getting and plant life ad cycles set.
In the bottom layer of my tank is pea gravel bout 2" deep. Then coco husk as substrate. I can only have about 2 inches of water in tank for small pond n waterfall. I CA. Get my filter started but I dies rather quickly. I assume it is because of the shallowness of the water lvl. Has any on used this filter in a viv set up. For alternative ideas, what did you use to pump water around.
Thanks in advances.

A canister style filter isn't designed to pump water up, it's designed to recirculate a body of water. How high is the waterfall?
