    Name that plant

LFS had this in their tanks, they call it 'floating plants'. Anyone have a clue?

I consider myself very new to plants, but to toss in a guess. I'd say it looks like some wysteria grown is some very low light, nutrient free conditions.

I'm going to guess unrooted water wisteria, as well.

I think James is right. Anyhow, if I were to purchase this from my LFS is there any precautions I should take as far as cleaning it up goes? My tank is empty so far, just getting it all planted until I decide what livestock I want.

After looking at it again, James is 100% correct. The leaf is not fine enough to be hygro difformis even under bad conditions. I think I got my "sprite" and my "wisteria" mixed up. The man knows his plants!

Cleanup as in disinfecting it or such?

Indian Fern can be used as a floater or it can be planted in the substrate. Will grow big and very bushy if planted. If you have livebearers, this is an excellent cover for them to hid in.
