    Just an update, definitely opted out of the gourami. I now have the following inhabitants:
    7x Tiger Barb
    2x Clown Loach
    2x Hifin Plecostamus
    1x Rainbow Shark
    1x Spotted African Leaf fish

    I ended up going far from my original stocking list. Anyone have suggestions of other tankmates that might add a little more excitement or character to the tank in a couple weeks?

    RazzleFish - your avatar freaks me out. I can't look at it. My wife can't keep her eyes off it though. She won't tell me why.

    Oh sorry, off topic. Yeah the pleco will outgrow the tank eventually (I don't know about the loaches), but you can usually find a new home for him and get another when the time comes, or upgrade the tank
