20 Gallon - Paludarium Cork Scape - Build Thread

    Hey everyone,

This build technique is based on Mellowvision's thread
    http://www.aquariacentral.com/forums...m-experiment-2
Please refer to it for any technical details I leave out.

So far I got the cork glued in place, got my drip bar assembled next step is to glue in screen mesh bellow the cork.
Tank also needs a scrub..Click image for larger version.

What are the animals you are planning? Vampire crabs? More amphibians? I'm glad you're jumping back in. Your last tank was beautiful, and it's good that some bad luck isn't deterring you.

    Small update

    Hey everyone

So got the mesh siliconed in place, my current pump is way too loud and a bit bulky so a new one is needed. Ordered two MARINELAND mini-jet's 404 and 406, if the 404 doesn't suffice I will use the 406.

    Another quick update,

Got the pumps in the mail, glad I ordered both because although the 404 is more quiet if does not allow all of the drippers to operate properly so I used the 406. It's not very loud either, I can sleep with it on.

Soon It will be planted, waiting ona bunch of plants in the mail. But I also currently have: Pothos, dwarf baby's tears(aquatic), baby's tears, aluminium plant, aquatic forget me not, java moss and a marimo ball. I wish I could get my hands on some HC Cuba..

Thank you! It's a single bright sadly I also have a 5500k 24w T5 and a 9w fluro, that I will be using. I also have a 400Watt Metal Halide but I think that might be overkill, even on it's own.
