Hey guys so i've had this leather coral, what the fish store named as umbrella leather coral, for a few months now and it was doing great, growing and all tentacles were always out and then suddenly went downhill really fast and i don't know what to do. The whole thing is sagging over and want stay up and the base has turned a really dark brown colour and none of the tentacles are out.

Do you think there is anything i can do to help it, or is it pretty much a goner? The lights are out right now so i'll take some pictures tomorrow and post them.

Leathers do that every once in a while when they "shed". I'm guessing that is all this is and your coral will pop back up soon.

^ agreed. As long as it's not "melting", it should be good. Some times they look terrible before they go through a growth spurt.
