There fairly simple as long as your tank is cycled. I have a Hawaiian feather duster in my 8 gallon biocube. It's healthy with no problems. that's it dead center. ImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1333501894.116514.jpg

Hawaiin feather dusters are filter feeders just like their smaller counterparts and mainly feed off of phytoplankton in the wild. If your tank is aged and fairly established, supplemental feedings probably won't be necessary too often. New tanks would likely require broadcast feedings of phyto or liquid foods which is not something I would suggest doing to a new tank (water can foul up quick feeding this way).
