I'm thinking I will do 50 % wc's 2 times a week to keep everyone happy and to make them feel refreshed

That T5HO fixture over a 20H is probably a bit overkill given the plants it seems you have...you're welcome to go with that amount of changes, although you'd be fine with once a week if you want to cut it back.

The reason I wanted to change my lighting was because I wanted to be able to have a variety of plants. Possibly more than the color green
I don't mind the water changes, I love to see how happy the fish get afterward.

Just keep in mind that adding substantially more light will likely "upset" the current balance of the tank and you will have to compensate.
