Hi all,
We've recently just jumped into this great hobby, and are currently cycling our 29g with 6 Tiger Barbs as the "first settlers".
After the tank has cycled, we'd like to add a couple cichlids into the tank, and we wanted some comments on how best to approach this. I understand that the semi-aggressive nature of both cichlids and the Tiger Barbs might be asking for trouble, but I've also read of some folks that have successfully mixed the two.
We have 6 Tiger Barbs in a school to hopefully lessen their aggressiveness. I was looking specifically at adding a couple kribs because of their size (roughly equal to the tiger barbs) and as they are supposedly not as aggressive as other cichlids.
Comments/suggestions anyone? Are there other types of chiclids we should consider?
Thanks,
Joel
